The DC Rollergirls will kick off the league’s 2017 season on February 25, when they’ll bring roller derby back to the DC Armory for an opening bout featuring one of the league’s three travel teams.
Past seasons have showcased a battle between DCRG’s four home teams, which faced off to become the league’s season champion. In 2017, fans will get to see more from the DCRG squads that usually play on the road at home.
The February 25 bout at the DC Armory will showcase the National Maulers, the league’s B-level team, with doors opening at 3 p.m. ahead of the 4 p.m. starting whistle. Before the main event, there will be a short exhibition game featuring skaters clad in the colors of DCRG’s traditional home teams. Get tickets »
On March 25, the DC All-Stars will kick off their season against Mother State Roller Derby (Richmond, VA) at the Capital Clubhouse in Waldorf, Maryland. Click here to buy tickets! The Capitol Offenders — DCRG’s pick-up team featuring some of the league’s newest up-and-coming skaters — will also will also take the track against Southern Maryland Roller Derby in the second game of the doubleheader event, which starts at 4 p.m. Get tickets »
Want to check out the DC Rollergirls on the road? The National Maulers head to Roanoke on February 11 to take on the Star City Roller Girls. In April, the All-Stars and Maulers are off to Rhode Island to play Providence Roller Derby, and in May both teams will head to the Chicago area to skate against the DuPage Derby Dames.
