How many seasons have you been skating with the DC Rollergirls, and for which teams?
I joined the DC Rollergirls in January 2015 and I skate with the DC All-Stars and the Majority Whips.
How and why did you first get involved in roller derby?
Roller derby has been following me around since 2006 but I didn’t get involved until 2009 after I saw a competitive tournament.
What was your athletic background before learning how to play derby?
My former lives as a rink rat, dancer, gymnast, tennis and chess player all prepared me for roller derby glory.
What’s the story behind your derby name?
Unending love for all things Star Trek and the sweet medical scars on my left leg.
What traditions or rituals do you have before skating in a bout?
Before a game my biggest priority is hydration and nutrition but I also set goals, visualize success and usually watch some game footage if possible.
What’s your favorite DCRG memory?
My favorite DC Rollergirls memory was traveling to Buffalo, NY with the All-Stars and playing in my first WFTDA sanctioned game in 2015.
