Athletic Background

Growler played sports her whole life including various martial arts. Some of her favorites were soccer, flag football, and boxing. Growler was the first woman to ever box in the Golden Gloves, the biggest NY amateur boxing event. She holds a World Champion title in the martial art of Eskrima and was a black belt in Taekwondo.

Bio

Growler is a DC transplant who grew up in New York City. She’s owned various businesses in NYC including her dog training business, The Green Dog. All she wanted was to learn how to skate so she could skate on the boardwalk in her previous hometown of Rockaway Park, Queens. All it took to get her to sign up was a call to a friend who played derby in LA for advice on what skates to buy and now she’s hooked!
