Athletic Background
I was active growing up in karate and soccer. In a previous life, I was a professional fire fighter and paramedic. I was very active in the gym but did not play contact sports due to my work.
Bio
In 2009, she was nominated by President Obama and was confirmed by the Senate as an Assistant Administrator with DHS/FEMA where she was responsible for approximately $4 billion in grant funding annually. Currently, she works for an international labor union managing federal grants and overseeing training. She has over 20 years of experience in the emergency management community, where she has held positions as an administrator, an academic, a career fire fighter paramedic. She holds a BS from GWU, an MS from UMBC, and an MBA from CPU. She has two sons in college lives in Annapolis.
Likes
I love vacationing in warm weather, beachy environments and typically go to Cancun a few times a year to relax at an all-inclusive beach.
Dislikes
I don’t like seafood – I don’t eat it, buy it, don’t like the smell or look of it. Yuck!
